RVA Construction’s Matson Roberts Earns LEED Accredited Professional Designation
Richmond, VA – RVA Construction, a commercial Class-A general contractor serving the Richmond region, today announced Matson Roberts, Principal, has earned a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional Designation (LEED AP) by the U.S. Green Building Council.
“We’re expecting a shift in demand for LEED Certified projects in the foreseeable future,” said Dean Van Arsdale, RVA Principal. “LEED Accreditation allows RVA to provide an array of green building solutions to our clients.”
To receive accreditation, Roberts had to demonstrate a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles, as well as the LEED Green Building Rating System. The certification distinguishes RVA as a commercial construction company with the knowledge and skill to successfully steward the LEED certification process.
“RVA is committed to providing cutting edge construction practices to our clients and our community,” said Roberts. “The LEED Rating System and project delivery method is the next logical step for us. Half our projects this year are going for LEED certification, and we’re looking forward to incorporating green building practices into our work as it makes sense for our clients.”
