Richmond, VA – March 23, 2009 – RVA Construction, a commercial Class-A general contractor serving the Richmond region, today announced their sponsorship of Richmond’s newest outdoor lifestyle event celebrating river life on the James River, Dominion’s Riverrock, May 15-16 on Brown’s Island.  RVA Construction is the title sponsor of the “RVA Construction Slopestyle” Bike Competition.

“RVA is thrilled to help bring this exciting new event to Richmond,” said Matson Roberts, RVA Principal.  “We’re looking forward to enjoying the celebration of Richmond’s river life on the James and giving back to the Greater Richmond community.”

The two-day Riverrock event, produced by Sports Backers and Venture Richmond, will feature a free musical performance by Rusted Root, a 5K Mud Run, the James River Scramble trail run, mountain biking, kayaking and more. Additional musical performances, dog and bike competitions, food, and exhibits will round out the weekend’s events. Paid entry is required in competitor events such as the Mud Run and the James River Scramble.
