Laura Merritt

Laura joined RVA Construction in 2023, but she’s been surrounded by the industry for her entire life. Growing up, her father built everything from homes to aircraft facilities, and he inspired Laura to enter the construction field. In 2017, she began working on historic window restorations, and she has since evolved into a detail-oriented project manager. Her expertise lies in project planning, subcontractor selection and contracting, project budgeting, and purchasing.

Over the last year, Laura has worked on several RVA Construction projects, including the offices for the InnerWill Leadership Institute, Abbott Toxicology, and Mary Washington Healthcare.

Laura is OSHA 30 Certified, First Aid and CPR Certified, and she’s looking forward to renewing her National Association of Women in Construction membership.

Outside of construction, Laura’s life revolves around the outdoors and spending time with her husband and daughter. Some of her favorite activities include mountain biking, yoga, herpetology, puzzles, roller skating, and art.
