Ted was the first superintendent ever hired at RVA and has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Ted’s role as a Project Superintendent is to lead project teams in daily field activities. Overall, he monitors and enforces safety standards, schedules, and budgets, inspects workmanship, and assures all work adheres to RVA’s standard of quality. Ted engages effectively with tradespeople and owners alike due to his infectious, positive attitude, extensive background, and his love of carpentry. He’s tenacious about sticking to deadlines while keeping a respectful yet informal dynamic with all on-site trade partners.
While at RVA Construction, he’s also worked on several other projects, including Independence Park in Richmond, ACAC Fitness in Midlothian, the University of Richmond Westhampton Center, and the Richmond International Raceway. His significant experience in the medical industry and his specialization in replacing MRI and CT machines was evident in his work with CJW Hospital (MRI Suite), Virginia Urology, Pouncey Tract Veterinary Hospital, Brook Road Dental, Blacksburg Diagnostic Imaging Center, Chesterfield Optometric Center, and Wyeth Pharmaceutical.
Ted is OSHA 30 Certified, First Aid and CPR Certified, and trained as an AGC Construction Supervisor. He has also been certified as a TCA/ACI Tilt-Up Technician.
